Greetings, honoured patron! I hope you've been enjoying the latest chapters of These Sundered Stars, because we certainly have much more to come!
It's once again going to be a slightly quieter week this week, to mark a little break before the final Act of the Project Centennial saga begins in earnest (and to give me a chance to nail down what will actually happen in said final Act!).
After finding herself at the heart of a growing astro-political maelstrom that forced her into a sabbatical among the unknown territories of the Ele, ex-Curator and current fugitive Endelle Stroth now has a clear goal ahead: to return to Aglostarros and shut down the Centurion probe units before they cause untold destruction to the Ele Dominion. Exactly how that mission ends remains to be seen, but the telling of the story should take These Sundered Stars through to the middle of June.
After that? Something new. I can't say what yet, but it will likely follow a similar format but focus on a different story unfolding in the galaxy - probably something completely unrelated to the trials of Stroth and her ill-fated Project. One thing's for sure, These Sundered Stars will continue on in some form! I'm proud of the world I'm creating here, and I'm excited to keep fleshing out new corners of the galaxy going forward.
But first, to the near future: To again reflect the changing focus of the story, News Reports will be reinstated to a 250-word weekday slot in the schedule, while Journal Entries become the 150-word preface to the Weekly Dispatch on Sundays. To reintroduce the longer news articles, Thursday will see a brief recap of recent events in galactic politics, reminding the regular audience about the climate our protagonist is returning to and providing a good jumping on point for new readers.
À propos of that, I would be so grateful if you could continue spreading the word to your fiction-loving friends about this little project - word of mouth is our primary source of new readers, and I'd love for These Sundered Stars to reach as many people as possible! And to everyone who already tunes in on a regular basis - thank you so much for your support; it means the world to me to know that you are out there enjoying my work!
Yours in curiosity,
James
