A Moment's Pause

Greetings, honoured patron! And apologies for the disruption to your regularly-scheduled service. In order to make sure that These Sundered Stars continues to put out the same high standard of compelling and coherent storytelling you've hopefully come to know us for, we will be taking this week off from posting any new chapters. The next instalment in the saga of Project Centennial, the Queil-Coreworlds War and Endelle Stroth's quest for redemption will grace your feeds this time next week, on Monday 1st April 2024 (and that's no April Fools!).

As longtime patrons might have picked up on, we recently passed a notable milestone - namely, that every chapter originally hosted on Ko-fi is now here, in its proper place on sunderedstars.com. As of Chapter 155, we're all in uncharted territory as we press forward into an era in which tensions are starting to boil over across the galaxy.

Earlier this month, when I revisited the roadmap I had made for this project back in 2022 to find out what the next few weeks would focus on, I realised that those plans no longer felt satisfying based on the scale, direction and momentum of everything that had come before, nor did they reflect everything I hoped the project could be. So, the long-term plan needed some revising and refreshing before new writing could begin.

Unfortunately, this threshold coincided perfectly with some substantial changes to my personal life. My new daily schedule still affords me plenty of time to write and pursue other creative endeavours, but the change in itself has taken a little getting used to, and I think that a little extra time without the pressure of an every-other-day deadline will help me to work out where These Sundered Stars and my other written work fits in around the new demands on my time.

To that end, as previously stated, there will be no new updates this week, but we will come back strong next Monday. In the meantime, please do keep sharing the good word of These Sundered Stars, and thank you all for the support you've all shown me to date.
