Our war correspondent Zellie Vant is on the ground on Aglostarros, bringing us live updates from the Empire of the Queil’s desperate attack against the Coreworlds Conglomerate. Our journalists are not at risk.
For those just tuning in, a Queil war fleet led by Arch-General Vanderen Quril is engaging Aglostarros’ defences, meeting heavy resistance from the Conglomerate’s merchant navy of contractors, mercenaries and bounty hunters.
The CCS Fortitude, which arrived in the Aglos system shortly before the Queils, seems critical to the invaders’ goals here. The frigate is now sheltering in upper atmosphere behind Conglomerate battle lines.
As a reminder, the disappearance of the Fortitude was the inciting incident for the conflict between the Empire and Conglomerate. Before now, the vessel was last seen escaping the Queils’ siege of Kollian.
We don’t know for sure who is piloting the Fortitude, but some sources suggest a connection to the Galactic Liberation of Wonder movement. If true, their motivations are unclear but their actions could have wide-reaching astropolitical implications.
As law enforcement moves in towards the sheltering Fortitude, we’ve seen a fighter depart from the frigate’s hangar bay, apparently unnoticed by the combatants. Our analysts are trying to ID the ship.
We have confirmation that the fighter which departed the Fortitude moments ago is the Gunmetal Gyre, signature starship of bounty hunter Tren Krellos. We are still waiting to learn Krellos’ role in this situation, but recent reporting holds that he has been pursuing the traitor Endelle Stroth.
