192. Open Contract: Defend Aglostarros

From the Office of the Executive Minister of the Coreworlds Conglomerate

In response to the increasing likelihood of an attack on the Coreworlds’ capital of Aglostarros, we are establishing an OPEN CONTRACT for any and all privateers and paramilitary contractors capable of immediately attending the planet’s defence.

A maximum fund of ⍺2 billion is allocated for this assignment, to be awarded on a first come, first served basis. Contractors must be prepared for both close-quarters combat and starship engagements, including the high likelihood of death and permanent injury.

As recent media reports indicate, our enemy appears to be a large contingent of the Queil Empire’s war fleet, under the command of Arch-General Vanderen Quril. Those who have faced the Empire previously will know the formidable threat they present and are encouraged to apply that experience here. Your objectives are nothing less than to prevent a Queil occupation of Aglostarros and to avoid any loss of civilian life. Your primary target in achieving this goal will be General Quril’s flagship, the Murmuration.

A message from the Executive Minister is attached: “The people of the Coreworlds, hard working citizens like you, have always been the Conglomerate’s second greatest asset. The first greatest is our remarkable wealth. As such, you may be sure that all those who step up to defend Aglostarros today will be handsomely compensated for their efforts.”

The Director of the Montreau Conservatory has since issued the following addendum: “May the best agent win.”
