185. BREAKING: Queils Moving On Coreworlds

ORAMANDE - The Empire of the Queil has launched an unprecedented assault against the Coreworlds, penetrating from the CEZ into the Conglomerate’s heartlands in a matter of hours. The Queil fleet has already carried out devastating raids on seven planets including Gil Tol, Zeene and Tanichal, and shows no sign of stopping.

Curiously, combat analysis by Coreworlds Intelligence indicates that the Queils are targeting orbital forces, FTL countermeasures and fuel reserves rather than occupying these worlds. Though civilian casualties have remained low, the death toll among the Conglomerate military is in the hundreds and the financial impact of the damage is still being calculated.

However, the worst may be yet to come, as telemetry indicates that the Queil fleet is tracing a direct path towards Aglostarros. Planets along their projected route are being evacuated in record time, with scenes of chaos on the ground here on Oramande and throughout many other population centres. Unconfirmed reports suggest that Baroness Dorn Oramande herself has already fled her home planet; she will presumably go to Aglostarros where the Family Oramande maintains several properties.

The reason for this change in the Queils’ tactics is unclear, but it may be a follow-up to the recent destruction of Kollian. In a statement released moments ago, Empress Harke herself declared, “We have always been this. Until now, we have held back because we believed you worthy of our respect.”
