Diary of Endelle Stroth - 29.08.2270

Krellos and I got a spook today, while traversing the Galactic Core.

This deep into the galaxy, astronomical hazards are so densely packed that FTL travel is a liability. That means we’re back to taking the scenic route, but at least there’s plenty to look at. This area is thick with nebulae, we’ve seen all kinds of stars and planets that would be impossible in any other region of space… and we had some unexpected visitors, too, in the form of a Queil scout patrol.

They were well-hidden, evidently adapting the cloaking technology woven into El-Deen’s ambassadorial vessel. Krellos only spotted them because he happened to look in their direction and noticed how their cloaks were refracting the colours of the nebula. They jumped away soon after.

We don’t know if they saw us. We don’t know if they recognised our ships. But I can’t help but fear the worst.
