Diary of Endelle Stroth - 27.08.2270
I’ll admit that a wartime galaxy scares me - not just the frontlines, but the inevitable prejudices and escalations. Though the Queil-Coreworlds dispute is mostly contained to the Illal Strait, the cosmos is becoming a generally dangerous place to be, and it won’t end there.
I’ve experienced relative peace in the Coreworlds until now; fortunately, there hasn’t been a major civil conflict since the Conglomeration. But our coexistence with our galactic neighbours is tenuous, and history shows that any small divisions are only widened in wartime. It’s only a matter of time before the infighting spreads.
I’m almost glad we were chased off New Barath without enough fuel to jump straight to Aglostarros. I don’t want to return to a planet that’s primed to hate. That said, the new plan - contacting GLoW for support - isn’t much better. Though we’ve had our differences, they might feel sympathetic to the Ele. We’ll see.
