143. BREAKING: Conglomerate At War With Queils

AGLOSTARROS - The Coreworlds Conglomerate has issued a formal declaration of war against the Empire of the Queil. The announcement was made early this morning at an emergency press event on the steps of the Halls of Enterprise, the Conglomerate’s government building on Aglostarros.

In the address, Executive Minister Kotra Lenthe explained that “we have not made this decision lightly, but the Queil Empire is resisting all our attempts at diplomatic overtures, and is furthermore refusing to relinquish the kidnapped crew of the CCS Fortitude. It is clear that the Queils’ escalating campaign of aggression, beginning with a series of false-flag engagements and culminating in the Threshold Tragedy and the hijacking of the Fortitude, is merely a manufactured justification for the development and deployment of advanced weaponry now threatening the galaxy at large. In attempting to cover for their inhumane obsessions, they have revealed their true intentions. Now, the grim responsibility of opposing this menace falls to the Coreworlds Conglomerate.”

Minister Lenthe called upon citizens with combat experience to enlist in the military forces gathering in the Aglos system, while also detailing plans to recruit from the Coreworlds’ vassal territories and elements of the Union Defence Alliance.

The Empire of the Queil has yet to respond to the declaration, and it appears to be in the process of severing its diplomatic and communications channels to the outside galaxy. Public advisories on Aglostarros warn that a large-scale attack may already be impending.
