Diary of Endelle Stroth - 12.07.2270
Preparations complete, Tren Krellos and I are departing El-Kera tomorrow morning. Thankfully not in the same ship, mind you. He will be escorting me in his vessel, the Gunmetal Gyre, which has been refitted in a similar manner to the Looking Glass. While I’m relieved to not have to share bunk space with that horrid man, and I can understand him wanting to be at the controls of his pride and joy, I must say that I still find the notion of my one-time attacker now flying at my side to be a disconcerting one. I’m still crossing every finger I have that he doesn’t try to sell me out once we’ve left the Ele behind. Could he really have changed that much?
We’ll have plenty of time to find out - with both our AIM drives still depleted from the outbound journey, it appears we’ll need to make at least the first stages of our journey at regular propulsion speeds, hence the oversized supply of tab-rations. It’s not glamorous and it’s not particularly fast, but it’s our only option until we can refuel.
Krellos and I have been told to report to a staging area at the edge of the Dominion, far enough away from the checkpoints the other members of the Trifold Union have since established that our movements should go undetected. From there, I imagine we’ll coast to the nearest inhabited world or fuel station, load up on Astrum, and head straight to Aglostarros. What could be simpler?
